Gary Reiss received his medical degree from Louisiana State University in New Orleans in 2002 after graduating from Stanford University. He received his Masters Degree of Public Health from Louisiana State University and his Master of Business Administration from the University of New Orleans. After completing his internal medicine residency at Stanford University Hospital, he did a gastroenterology fellowship at the Tulane University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans. Once completing fellowship, Dr. Reiss undertook additional specialized training in endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) and endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP). In addition to standard endoscopic procedures, Dr. Reiss performs HALO ablation of Barrett’s esophagus, hemorrhoidal treatment, liver biopsy and Bravo acid reflux testing.
Dr. Reiss has been practicing in Marrero since 2008. He is Board Certified in gastroenterology, and is a member of several GI societies including the American College of Gastroenterology, American Gastroenterological Society and the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. He is well published in a variety of professional journals. He has been recognized as a professional with outstanding abilities and featured in the “Best Doctors” issue of New Orleans Magazine.
