Richard Puente was born in Miami in 1961. He graduated from the University of Florida in 1984 and Tulane University Medical School in 1988. He completed his Internal Medicine Residency and GI Fellowship at Ochsner Foundation. He was recognized as a professional with outstanding abilities and featured in the “Best Doctors” issue of New Orleans Magazine.

Dr. Puente practices at the Metairie office of Metropolitan Gastroenterology Associates.
